1. Scanning

Fully Edentulous Patient

Double Scan Method

First, scan the patient wearing a radiographic guide with radio-opaque markers and a bite index. Next, secure the radiographic guide alone and scan on top of a sponge or Styrofoam-like material for stability.

This method is recommended for fully edentulous patients with little or no teeth support.

An anchor guide(denture duplicate) must be used for fully edentulous cases to properly align the surgical template within the patient’s mouth.

The anchor guide is used to establish the anchoring position of the surgical template to ensure accurate placement as planned and is in the shape of the radiographic guide with anchor pins. The anchor guide is used with the bite index to secure the location of the guide within the patient’s oral cavity.

Single or Partially Edentulous Patient

Stone Model Method

The stone model method should be used for single implant and partially edentulous cases.

First, scan the patient with an open bite using cotton pads. Next, fabricate a stone model of the patient, secure the stone model and scan. You can also mail in the stone model and have it scanned by us.

Fuji rock or equivalent is recommended for stone models.

The In2Guide Stone Model Protocol must be followed at all times.

3D Scan Method

For single implant and partially edentulous cases, our 3D scan method is available as well.

First, scan the patient with an open bite by securing the bite with cotton pads. Second, scan the stone model with a 3D scanner or intra-oral scanner to obtain the stereolithography (.stl) file.
In2Guide is compatible with various 3D scanners and intra-oral scanners.

After planning is completed, order directly from In2Guide and your order will be processed online. Cybermed manufactures the surgical templates in-house and carries out strict quality assurance controls on every step of the process before shipment. Our average delivery time is 2 – 7 days.
